Peru - No Drama Llama - Washed - Organic - 25 lb Box

Chirinos Cooperative makes it’s home in the Andes in the  Jaen, Cajamarca region. Established in 1968 by 36 coffee producers, the coop has consistently worked to establish Peru as a desirable coffee on the specialty market.  Membership in the cooperative grants members training and access to use organic compost, and a nutrient-rich fertilizer using a Colombian method called “gaicashi.” WIth the help of the coop’s resident agronomists, member families are able to produce potent compost at low cost, and their organic certification means they never use pesticides. With careful, supervised management, their plots produce high yield  Bourbon, Catturra, and Typica varieties. We found that this coffee satisfies our cup requirements for No Drama Llama, medium body and acidity with a hint of green aliveness in the cup. Get it while we have it!
