Bernardino Aliaga Torque and his wife Francisca learned coffee cultivation from their parents, and today their entire family is involved in every stage of production on their 11‑hectare farm—from field management to selective harvesting to post‑harvest processing. Each season, their dedication has allowed them to steadily increase both yield and quality, bringing more of their expressive, high‑elevation coffees to market. Their natural lots are dried on raised beds, where Bernardino maintains meticulous control over fermentation and drying curves. This careful approach preserves the clarity of the fruit while developing the deeper sweetness and sparkling acidity that Bolivian naturals are known for. Though not certified—an expense that remains prohibitive for many small producers—the family operates with organic practices, relying on clean inputs and careful land stewardship. In the cup, this lot is vibrant and elegant. Expect vanilla, orange, and berry aromatics, followed by flavors of red fruits, mixed berries, and chocolate biscuit. The structure is clean and composed, with a gentle sweetness and a buoyant finish that reflects both the altitude and the precision of the drying process. It’s a standout example of what smallholder Bolivian naturals can achieve when handled with care.
